BUSI 3450U – Business Forecasting Techniques This course examines the theory and the application of major forecasting techniques and methods used in marketing, economics, operations management, and other functional areas of business. Simple and multiple regression models are studied, followed by time series methods of smoothing, seasonal decomposition, econometrics, and Box-Jenkins ARIMA modelling. After introducing simulation methods and forecasting expert systems, the course addresses important issues of model validation, selection, and control in a business context.
